No More ''Idol'' for Paula?
From LoveToKnow Celebrity
Recent rumors have people wondering will there be no more Idol for Paula?
A Battle Over Pay
Not that the pay issue has been confirmed, but it has not been denied either. Paula Abdul's manager recently came forward saying that producers for the uber-popular singing competition have been treating her disrespectfully and behaving in an all around mean way to their client. The battle over pay comes into play when reports are trickling in that Ryan Seacrest renegotiated his Idol deal for multi-millions. $15 million to be exact. Though, of course, some sources say that Seacrest negotiated a $45 million contract with Idol producers.
No word on whether the other judges' contracts have been renegotiated, but Abdul's managers are confirming that producers for the show have not approached her for a pay hike. She currently gets paid an estimated two and a half million dollars per season. Small beans compared to Seacrest's $15 million, right?
Incidentally, there are also rumors running about that Kara DioGuardi may also be out for next season. Then again, those rumors have been circulating since her first appearance on the show.
Paula Wants Her Own Show
There are now whispers that there will be no more Idol for Paula and she is thinking about starting her own singing competition show. She might just want to rethink that idea given that no talent show has ever been able to compete with or achieve the massive success of the Goliath of all singing competition shows, American Idol.
