Man Arrested for Threatening to Kill Miley Cyrus

A 22 year old man was arrested in Georgia on the set of Miley Cyrus’s new film for running up to her body double, thinking it was Miley and threatening to kill the poor girl. He was arrested and being an Army soldier, transported to his base by Military Police to face charges of making terrorist threats. What could a 16 year old possibly have done to make this man so angry?

I think it is emotional instability and a power issue.  Celebrity stalkers are back in the news big time recently.  Ryan Seacrest’s alleged stalker was back in court and those high school kids who robbed Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan are making headlines too.  I guess with so many celebrities out there now, it was just a matter of time before some looney did something to attract national attention.

I read that the guy, who told police he was engaged to marry Miley Cyrus and stalked her earlier this summer got a slap on the wrist for the incident.  According to news reports, Mark McLeod was sentenced to two years probation and was ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation. He was also banished from Savannah and ordered to stay away from Cyrus and her family.  So, basically, this nut case is a free man and can do what he wants… until he gets caught again.

There are definitely a whole lot of mentally unstable folks out there and even though the stalking cases are all scary, I tend to feel really bad for the stalker as well sometimes. Mostly because they are clearly sick and not getting the help they need to be well or at least start going in the direction of being well.

That’s a good way to look at a very sad situation.  I suppose the upside is that they might get help out of all of this.  Still, I would think that Miley’s “team” would be well aware that there are a host of loonies out there and plan accordingly.  BTW, I think her latest song should be nominated for “Most Likely to Get Stuck in Your Head—FOREVER!”

Oh. My. God!! You ain’t lyin’ about that song getting stuck in your head…it was in my DREAM the other night. Even if you change the radio station super quickly, if you hear just one bit of that song, you’re done. You’ll be singing it all day. As far as the crazies in celebrities lives, I was wondering about this, do you think that young celebs like Miley have the tendancy to have more problems with stalkers and what not than older celebs? Sometimes it just seems like a ton of young celebs are having this problem…

Well given that Ryan Seacrest has a high profile stalker after him, I’d think not.  Then again, I just heard Ryan call Miley Cyrus one of his BFFs, so who knows—maybe there is a connection.  I think with celebs and stalkers it’s the squeaky wheel that gets the oil.  Some stalkers are a bit crazier than others and the seriously weird ones need to be taken off the street.

Yeah, you’re right. Ryan Seacrest did have a crazy stalker. Some stalkers are just plain dangerous and downright scary. I suppose though it’s one of those bad things you have to take with the the good of being a celebrity. At least most of them can afford body gaurds and what not to help keep them safe.
