The Cowboys Pick on Jessica Simpson

The Dallas Cowboys, along with Burger King aired a commercial Sunday picking on Jessica Simpson. In the skit, two Cowboy’s are going back and forth about how they can’t believe that Tony Romo continued to date Jessica after she “...blew up like Flozell Adams.” Flozell Adams is 6’ 7” and weighs 338 pounds. What in the world did Jessica ever do to those boys and why would they think that was funny?

You have to wonder what demo group they are after.  What average female knows who Flozell Adams is?  What’s more, I doubt women would find the commercial funny considering it is dissing another female AND it is taking a pot shot at women and weight gain.  I’m surprised that Jessica’s dad/manager wasn’t more vocal on this one, but perhaps silence is the best retort.
