I just read that after a month or so of looking, hiring searchers and posting pics, Jessica Simpson has finally, finally, finally come to the realization that her beloved pooch is gone forever.  A coyote apparently snatched the tiny pup by the neck from Simpson’s property—while Jessica was looking on.  What’s interesting is that Martha Stewart took a public dig into Jessica saying that if she had watched her dog carefully, this horrific incident would not have taken place.  Then a few days later, Martha went on her show to publicly apologize to Jessica for making the comment.

Boy, that was mean of Martha Stewart. If Jessica was in fact looking on as her dog got snatched away, what was she supposed to do if the poor pooch was in the coyote’s mouth? Don’t get me wrong, I love dogs, I have two (one puppy that just cost me $300 in vet bills for a dislocated toe joint), but if a coyote got to one of them, I’m really not sure what I would do besides try to scare it off. At least Martha apologized, but still, that was just plain mean of her.

WOW!  Three-hundred bucks for a toe!  Now that’s love.  Yeah, you know, I think Martha Stewart is just one of those people who has tunnel vision.  She filters every situation through her own perception of what should and should not be, not thinking about how her words could be interpretated (or in this case misinterpretated) by others.  She should have kept her mouth shut in this case, then she wouldn’t have anything to apologize for.

Don’t get me wrong—I love dogs, but Jessica Simpson is still tweeting about her beloved Daisy’s death and I’m not sure what to think of it all.  (Not that I spend countless hours thinking about Jessica Simpson.)  I feel bad for the girl, but perhaps she should take a vacation or SOMETHING, so she can work through her pain.  I realize the best cure in her case is time, but geesh, constantly tweeting about the loss of your pet is not going to make the hurt subside… then again, maybe it’s part of her therapy???

Ugh, I don’t get celebrities who constantly tweet. Bugs me. It’s like they want it both ways “respect our privacy” but let me tell you all about the loss of my pet and how I’m feeling about it? Jessica Simpson does need a vacation. Wasn’t she once a musician or something? You never really hear about her making music much these days.

Once she got dropped from her country music label, she stopped recording.  I suppose if she doesn’t have any one backing her, then she is stuck.  Then again, she could finance her own record if she really wanted to get back on the radio.  I think she needs to regroup.  I know she did some gig with Ken Paves about beauty around the world.  She does have a booming fashion business.  She won’t in the poorhouse that’s for sure.

I read that Martha Stewart was going to buy Jessica a new dog as a peace offering, but Jessica’s peeps thought it would be too soon to do so.  I thought it would be nice for Nick Lachey to buy Jessica a new dog since he was the one who bought her the one who died, but then I read that he got back together with Vanessa Minnillo, so I guess that’s not going to happen.
