What Hank Williams Jr. and Willie Nelson
Have in Common
From LoveToKnow Celebrity
Other than legendary country music careers, Hank Williams Jr. and Willie Nelson are both known for their bad boy ways, but you would think age would have mellowed them by now—not!
Willie Nelson
While on tour, the 73-year-old Willie Nelson and his band were pulled over for a routine commercial inspection of their tour bus. The arresting office noted a strange odor in the air which lead to the search and discover of 1 ½ pounds of marijuana and a small bag of psychedelic mushrooms. Nelson and his companions, including his sister, were arrested and cited for drug possession. If convicted, the singer could be facing up to six months in jail and a fine.
The fact that Willie Nelson uses marijuana shouldn't come as a huge shock, especially to his fans. Nelson has been a long time proponent of legalizing pot use, and two days prior, he had made a renewed appeal for the decriminalized of the drug's use while on a Texas political campaign on behalf of governor candidate Kinky Friedman.
Hank Williams Jr.
While Willie Nelson is facing legal problems for drug use, the misdemeanor assault case against 57-year-old Hank Williams Jr. goes to the grand jury. Williams allegedly harassed and choked a 19-year-old waitress hard enough to leave bruises on her neck while attempting to steal a kiss on March 18. If convicted, the Monday Night Football theme singer faces up to a year in jail and a $2,500 fine.
Group Discount
Perhaps Hank Williams Jr. and Willie Nelson would find it cost effective to find an attorney who gives group discounts to old timers with long histories of legal complications.
