Usher Files for Divorce

The tabloid chatter has finally come full circle as Usher files for divorce.

Previous Divorce Rumblings

For the past year or so, many tabloids have been quietly whispering about the impending split between Usher and wife of two years, Tameka. The couple, naturally, denied that they were splitting and put on a united front for the tabs.

The rumors died down a bit as the singer rushed to his wife's side in Brazil, where she suffered serious, life threatening complications after a routine liposuction surgery. No one is really sure why she had to fly to South America for such a simple procedure, but she did and ended up going into cardiac arrest. Doctors quickly revived the soon-to-be former Mrs. Raymond and she was released shortly thereafter.

No Reason Stated?

According to some reports, Usher did not state a reason as to why the two are splitting. Reps are only saying that the couple has been "…separated for a while." If he must choose, it will more than likely be the old standby of irreconcilable differences. Snitches are saying that although Usher has filed papers with an Atlanta courthouse, Tameka has yet to be officially served with them.

The couple has two children together, Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely. This was 30-year-old Usher's first marriage and 38-year-old Tameka's second. She divorced her previous husband to be with the R & B singer.
