Trish Stratus Joins Reality Cop Show
From LoveToKnow Celebrity
Reality show concepts run the gamut, with the latest series featuring WWE wrestler Trish Stratus and a host of other celebs as they serve on the Muncie, IN police force.
Trish Stratus Packs Heat?
Trish Stratus and the other celebrity participants will be joining the ranks as reserve officers of the Muncie city police department. They have even been sworn in, so they can officially carry badges and guns. It's all in the name of reality television, but will they be making the streets any safer?
The Concept
The CBS reality series, titled Armed and Famous, will follow the police adventures of Stratus, LaToya Jackson, Wee Man, Jack Osbourne, and Erik Estrada.
Well, at least Estrada has spent some time on the force, even if it was only the ‘70s TV series CHiPs. They will enforce the laws of Muncie, whose population is 66,000. Not to worry, however, the stars will not be hitting the streets alone. This all takes place alongside legitimate city police officers.
Swearing In
A crowd of 200 people were on hand to watch the swearing in ceremony at the Muncie City Hall, with several takes necessary to get the right footage. The Police Chief, Joe Winkle, told them that roll call would be at 6 o’clock, with the warning, “Do not be late.”
Celebrity Reality Roll Call
Some of these celebrities have done the reality series circuit before. Estrada appeared on The Surreal Life on VH1 in 2004, Osbourne, of course, was seen on MTV’s The Osbournes, and skateboarder Wee Man was on MTV’s Jackass. LaToya Jackson is famous for being part of the Jackson Family.
