Tom Cruise has Lost his Cool Factor

• The couch jumping foolishness on Oprah.
• Attacking post-partum depression sufferer Brooke Shields for taking medication to help her depression.
• Calling Matt Lauer "glib" on the Today show.
• Being dropped from Paramount after 14 years with the company. Owner of Paramount, Sumner Redstone is quoted as saying "His recent conduct has not been acceptable to Paramount" as to the reason why Cruise's contract wasn't renewed.
• Once stating "When you look at life, it could be better. It's not just good enough for me to do well." It's really too bad that he doesn't believe in chemical imbalances in the brain or psychiatry because it sounds like he has a few issues.

His Latest Temper Tantrum

One would think, that after spending nearly 30 years in the harsh, back-biting world of show business, Tom Cruise would have developed a little thicker skin…or at least a sense of humor. Alas, he hasn't. Here's the latest Cruise debacle: Dr. Drew Pinsky recently did an interview with Playboy. During said interview, Dr. Drew (as he is more commonly known on Celebrity Rehab and Loveline) said this:

"Take a guy like Tom Cruise. Why would somebody be drawn into a cultish kind of environment like Scientology? To me, that's a function of a very deep emptiness and suggests serious neglect in childhood—maybe some abuse, but mostly neglect."

Pinksy, of course, was just giving an example in which the general public could relate because everyone has seen or heard of Cruise's love for Scientology and erratic behavior. Cruise's lawyers struck back with this little gem: "This unqualified television performer who is obviously just looking for notoriety is so grotesquely unprofessional as to pretend to diagnose Tom and others without ever meeting them."

Dr. Drew Unqualifed?

Let's now take a look at how "unqualified" Dr. Drew Pinsky really is:

• He's certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties as an Internal Specialist.
• He is a certified Addiction Specialist.
• He received his bachelor's degree from Amherst.
• He earned his M.D. from U.S.C.

Public Apology

Dr. Drew issued a public apology after Cruise threw his tantrum. Why? Someone has to be the adult and based on past performances, we all know it isn't going to beTom Cruise.
