The Bachelor Chooses Melissa…Wait, Molly
From LoveToKnow Celebrity
The final rose ceremony for the latest installment of The Bachelor had single dad choosing Melissa…for a little while anyway.
The Proposal, The Breakup
Both girls seemed like just lovely ladies and they got on famously with The Bachelor Jason Mesnick's son Ty as well as with his family. In the end, it was Molly Malaney who was sent packing back home to her home state of Michigan in tears. This left Dallas native Melissa holding the final rose and the nearly two carat Neil Lane engagement ring presented to her by Jason.
Six Weeks Later
So, six weeks passes since the final rose ceremony and now it was time for the couple to reunite - and reunite they did, but not in such a good way. Instead of confessing his undying love for Melissa, Jason said "…we're not right for each other." Ouch. You have to feel for the girl, after confessing that in all of her relationships she was the "dumpee," to have it happen again in front of millions has got to be beyond humiliating and hurtful. Not only that, but he also confessed that he couldn't get Molly out of his head…double whammy.
After a few words were exchanged, Melissa quietly returned Jason's engagement ring and walked off stage and out of Jason's life.
Enter Molly
Molly came on stage and had to watch herself being dumped by Jason all over again and then watch his gut wrenching crying after she left. If you saw it, there was a slight look of satisfaction on her face when she saw the man she loved so heartbroken. She's only human after all.
Then Jason came out and told her he wants another shot. You know she was screaming "I told you so!" in her head because she did tell him he was making a huge mistake by choosing Melissa over her. So, Molly and Jason walked off stage to go get reacquainted with one another.
As for Melissa? We can probably expect to see her in the next installment of The Bachelorette, because we all know how ABC likes to recycle.
