Surreal Life Goes All Star Route
From LoveToKnow Celebrity
You’ve seen the all-star reality shows before, now brace yourself for the latest installment of VH1’s The Surreal Life. This time around, former Surreal Life celebrity houseguests will be competing for the top prize.
About The Surreal Life
The Surreal Life got its start on The WB, before being picked up by VH1 for its fourth season. The premise was a sort of celebrity Real World, where famous people lived together and their life was chronicled on video. Of course, the show grabbed its fair share of B, C and D-listers, who were perhaps looking for any opportunity to gain the spotlight.
Former Surreal Contestants
Over the six seasons that The Surreal Life has aired, there have been a variety of interesting characters. From Flava Flav, Brigitte Nielsen, Adrianne Curry, and Christopher Knight (all of whom got their own VH1 series), to Charo and Vanilla Ice, there has been no shortage of personality.
All-Star Edition
The latest installment of the series, dubbed The Surreal Life Fame Games, will feature previous cast members as they compete for the $100,000 grand prize. Each week, they will face off in a variety of cheeky competitions, such as “What’s Charo Saying?” and "Hotel Room Trash-a-Thon." Winners of each competition stay on the “A-list” side of their Las Vegas house, enjoying top amenities, while the losers are demoted to the “B-list” side.
Contestants include:
- Verne Troyer
- Brigitte Nielsen
- Ron Jeremy
- Chyna Doll
- Emmanuel Lewis
- Vanilla Ice
- Traci Bingham
- Pepa
- C.C. DeVille
- Andrea Lowell
- Jordan Knight
Robin Leach, of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, will host. The show will premiere on January 7, at 9 p.m.
