Suge Knight Still Loves Trouble
From LoveToKnow Celebrity
Yes, one time CEO of Death Row Records, Suge Knight still loves trouble.
Tumble From the Top
Knight was once the next huge thing in the hip hop industry. His record label Death Row Records (financed by the much larger Interscope records) included artists like Dr. Dre, Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg. With the album releases of The Chronic by Dr. Dre, All Eyez on Me by Tupac and Doggystyle by Snoop Dogg, Death Row Records became hugely successful. The label would go on to sell over 50 million albums and garner the company over $750 million in revenue.
Interscope soon sold its interest in Death Row and in 2006, the label filed for bankruptcy. The company was auctioned off in 2008 for $24 million. In the meantime, Knight was in and out of prison on a multitude of criminal charges and now, it seems he's headed that way again.
New Charges, New Arrest
Knight was arrested in connection with an assault that occurred back in August of 2008. Reportedly, he and his girlfriend Melissa Isaac were leaving a club in Las Vegas when an argument began. Knight stopped the SUV, Isaac jumped out in an attempt to run away from Knight (who had already punched her while in the vehicle). Knight jumped out of the truck in pursuit of Isaac, caught up to her, pushed her down, pulled a knife and began kicking her in the head.
The police were called to the scene and arrested Knight on suspicion of assault, also finding hydrocodone and ecstasy on the violence prone former music mogul.
Knight is currently charged with one count of misdemeanor battery and two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance.
