Stylist Rachel Zoe Gets Bravo Show

Stylist Rachel Zoe has been awarded her very own show on Bravo. You know, because we all need to stare at clothes most of us could never afford (or justify).

Rachel Zoe's Rise to Fame

If you've ever opened a tabloid or watched a red carpet event on TV, you've heard of Rachel Zoe. In the entertainment community it seems, she's either loved or hated. Perez Hilton has even given her the unflattering moniker "raisin face." Ouch.

Regardless of her love/hate relationship with the general public, the senior vice president of programming and development at Bravo, Andy Cohen, thinks the show will be a smashing success. Claiming that the public is mystified by fashion and Rachel Zoe.

Call it What You Will, Miss Zoe

Zoe calls her job "a service" and that it is her job "…everyday of the year to think months and months in advance." Well, doesn't that sound just a little self-important? Zoe also emphatically states "…it's not a fluff job." Isn't it though? Isn't it her job to primp and fluff celebrities?

No matter what type of spin is put on the job itself, in the end, they're just over priced pieces of material, really. Ultimately, celebrities are just people and Rachel Zoe simply dresses them. Sure, it's a service, just like waiting tables is a service. So, call it what you will Rachel Zoe, you're still fetching and serving up clothing and accessories for celebrities who simply do not have the time to do it themselves.

It's not like she's volunteering her time or money toward some noble deed like helping those in need or volunteering at a local children's hospital or starting a foundation to help…well, anybody who needs help. Now, if Bravo decided to make a show about a celebrity or even quasi-celebrity that did that, it would be worth watching. Nonetheless, if you still must see Zoe at work, tune into Bravo on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. eastern.
