Who knew celebrity reality shows could be dangerous? In the case of Stephen Baldwin and Ty Murray’s Celebrity Bull Riding Challenge, injury may have been inevitable.
About Stephen Baldwin
This B-list actor probably isn’t as famous for his acting roles as he is for being part of the famous Baldwin clan. Big brother Alec Baldwin is by far the most successful of the brood, but Stephen Baldwin has also been in his fair share of films. Maybe not as high-brow as his brother, but nonetheless, Stephen has appeared in Bio-Dome and The Usual Suspects, among others.
About Celebrity Bull Riding
With celebrity reality shows always looking for the next hook, it comes as no surprise that the latest show has B-list celebs hopping on board for bull riding. With seven-time, All-Around World Champion bull rider Ty Murray teaching the stars about the finer points of holding on for dear life, it would seem that most would walk away with only minor bumps and bruises.
Baldwin’s Fall
Reality television may have been a bit too real in this case. Baldwin was thrown from a bull and stepped on, suffering a broken scapula and rib. Baldwin said in an interview, “I held on for about four jumps, and then I just ate a bunch of dirt.” The bull toss will keep him from competing in the rest of the challenge.
Ty Murray’s Celebrity Bull Riding Challenge will appear on Country Music Television on August 10, 2007. Other contestants include Vanilla Ice (rapper), Leif Garrett (singer), Dan "Nitro" Clark (American Gladiators), Jonny "Fairplay" Dalton (Survivor); Raghib "Rocket" Ismail (NFL player), Kenny Bartram (Moto-X rider), Josh Haynes (Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter) and Francesco Quinn (actor).
