Although Ledger found a niche in his breakout film 10 Things I Hate About You, he didn't want to be pigeon holed into playing only teenager "heartthrob" type roles.

Ledger at the 2005 Venice Film Festival where Brokeback Mountain took home the top honor of the Golden Lion Award for Best Film, beating out 19 other great films such as Good Night and Good Luck, The Constant Gardener and Romance and Cigarettes.
