Rosie O’Donnell and Donald Trump’s Verbal Battle

In light of the recent controversy surrounding Miss USA, Rosie O’Donnell had some unkind words about Donald Trump. Of course, The Donald isn’t taking it lying down.
Miss USA Scandal
Recently crowned Miss USA, Tara Conner, was involved in some not-so-beauty queen behavior. Most notably, she was involved in underage drinking and abusing drugs. The recklessness caused the Miss USA organization and owner Donald Trump to evaluate whether or not the pageant winner should continue her reign. In a press conference on December 19, Trump announced that Tara Conner would be given a second chance because she was a “good person.”
Rosie O’Donnell’s Comments
In her daily discussion on The View on December 20, O’Donnell attacked Trump’s decision not to fire Tara Conner, calling him a “snake-oil salesman,” as well as pointing out that he went bankrupt. She mentioned her distaste for Donald Trump and the Miss USA organization – complete with an impersonation of Trump at the press conference.
Trump Strikes Back
In response to O’Donnell’s comments, Trump told People magazine that she is "a woman out of control” and that she “can’t make false statements.” He plans to sue the talk show host for her statements, and retaliated by saying “Rosie’s a loser.”
The Fate of Miss USA
While Trump announced that Conner could keep the crown, she will be attending a drug and alcohol rehab program for treatment. The Miss USA winner, who just turned 21, had a tearful apology at the press conference and expressed her gratitude for Trump’s kindness.
