Razzie Award Nominees Announced

About the Razzies

Founder John Wilson began awarding Razzie's to what are considered the worst films and actors for any given year. Kind of like the polar opposite of the Oscars. These nominations are a "worst-of" to the Oscars' "best of" awards. There are similarities though -- winners for each of the awards receive a golden trophy, for the Razzie's, it's the "Golden Rasperry."

Worst Actor

Worst Actress

• Jessica Alba – Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, Awake, Good Luck Chuck
• Lindsay Lohan – I Know Who Killed Me
• Elisha Cuthbert – Captivity
• Diane Keaton – Because I Said So
• The entire starring cast of the Bratz movie

Worst Picture

Everyone Has an Off Year

A few of this year's nominations have had great years.

• Eddie Murphy was nominated for an Oscar last year for the film Dreamgirls.
• Diane Keaton was also nominated for an Oscar for her work in the film Something's Gotta Give and she won the Golden Statue for Annie Hall.
• Cuba Gooding Jr., is also an Oscar winner for his role as Rod Tidwell in Jerry Maguire.
• Nicholas Cage owns an Oscar for his work in the film Leaving Las Vegas.
• Adam Sandler hasn't won any Oscars, but the man is an actor, writer, producer, comedian and has two albums that have gone double platinum.
