Pink and Carey Hart Divorcing

About the Couple

When Pink (born Alecia Moore), an unconventional sort of in-your-face songbird with the pipes to back it up and Hart, the thrill-seeking, tattoo loving, freestyle motocross competitor first hooked up in 2001, it seemed like a match made in celebrity heaven. The two dated on and off for the next couple of years until calling it quits in 2003.

The split was brief, as the couple didn't stay apart for long and began dating each other again shortly after their breakup.

The Proposal

The proposal came in 2005 while Hart was competing in California. Apparently, it was Pink who did the asking by holding up a board reading "Will you marry me?" while Hart was in the midst of the race. Hart then raced to his girlfriend's side, forfeiting the race to accept Pink's proposal.

They were married the following year in Costa Rica, celebrating their union with close friends, family and, no surprise here, matching "Tru Luv" tattoos on their wrists.

The Divorce

Maybe this split between Pink and Hart will be as "amicable" as her press release makes it sound (although there has been no word yet from Hart's camp). The statement Pink made through her publicist read "While the marriage is over, their friendship has never been stronger." If this statement is true, there are a few divorced celebrities that could learn a thing or two from the couple.
