On The Simple Life, cameras followed around BFF’s Hilton and Nicole Richie as they traveled across the country living with different families and working at a variety of jobs. The comedy of the reality series was that the socialites never worked before, plus their outspoken nature made plenty of ordinary folks downright uncomfortable.

A Falling Out

Sometime after the third season of The Simple Life, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie had a falling out and annulled their best friend status. The pair were no longer on speaking terms, but managed to squeak another season of The Simple Life out by never appearing in the same scenes together.

Hilton and Richie Reconcile

At some point (who can keep track, really?), Hilton and Richie came together as friends again and put their past problems behind them. No one is really sure what caused the rift in the first place or if the feud was even real or simply a ploy for more attention.

Hilton’s New Reality

Not a day goes by when Paris Hilton isn’t in the news and she definitely works hard to stay in the headlines. Whether she’s promoting a bomb of a movie (The Hottie and the Nottie) or serving as spokesperson for sparkling wine in a can, there’s no shortage of Hilton to read about every day.
