Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock to Wed. And Wed. And Wed.
Pamela and Tommy Lee. Call us romantics, but somehow we thought, underneath it all, that these two kids loved each other. But alas, Pammy has shocked us before (like, by writing a book), and she has shocked us again by announcing her upcoming nuptials with none other than Kid Rock. The two are set to wed on July 29, aboard a yacht called Thunder Gulch in St. Tropez. According to MSNBC.com Scoop, the “maid” of honor will be photographer David LaChappelle, and the bride will forego her wedding bikini for a traditional white wedding gown (hey, you in the back, no snickering).
Whether or not the wedding is actually legal is another matter. According to spokesman at St. Tropez town hall, the bride and groom must have been residents of the town for at least a month to have a legally binding wedding. Never fear, though. Pam and Kid plan to wed again in Detroit…and Nashville…and Malibu. Surely one of them will stick.
A Very Brady Wedding
In other celebrity wedding news, Christopher Knight and Adrianne Curry, stars of VH1 Celebreality gem My Fair Brady have tied the knot. Ok, they actually got married on May 29, but the wedding episode of their show aired July 23. Knight (aka, Peter Brady) and Curry (winner of America’s Next Top Model) found love on another VH1 show - The Surreal Life 4. We then followed the couple as they argued their way through My Fair Brady Season 1, with Curry “ultimatuming” her way into an engagement, and then as they argued their way through wedding planning in My Fair Brady Season 2. But just in case you thought it was all over, no need to fear…Curry is writing a book about her life, which she hopes will be made into a film, and Knight is proffering his own line of hair care products. And here we never even noticed how good his hair is.
A Very Messy Split
Two weddings…and a messy celebrity divorce. Christie Brinkley’s quiet separation from her husband of 10 years, Peter Cook, exploded into media melodrama when rumors emerged that Cook had an affair with a then 18-year-old employee of his architecture firm. Diana Bianchi says their affair started shortly after she started her job and is not exploring a sexual harassment suit. And just when Cook thought it couldn’t get any worse, more allegations emerged about his conduct - this time singer Samantha Cole came forward to claim she also had an affair with Cook - ten years ago, when she was 18. Cooks’s relationship with Brinkley at the time of his involvement with Cole is unclear, though the two became engaged one month after Cole says she ended the affair.
For his part, Cole has not denied the romances and has only commented to apologize to his wife and say he wanted to “make it up to her for the rest of her life.” Over to you, Christie.
Celeb Gossip Tidbits
- Leah Remini (King of Queens) claims reports of baby Suri’s nonexistence have been exaggerated. She says she has seen Tom and Katie’s little bundle of joy, and she is “beautiful.”
- David Hasselhoff was prevented from boarding a flight to L.A. from Heathrow after it was determined he was “unfit to fly,” in the words of British Airways. Hoff says he was “on medication” but other sources report the only medication he was on was came in a bottle and was served in the first class lounge.
- Paris Hilton knows so much about music, she doesn’t even have to hear it to know she likes it. She recently told the Daily Record that Barry Manilow is her favorite singer, but then went on to say, “I don’t know what he sings, but he’s sexy. He has nice, calm music.”
- Is Britney Spears rude to the help? That’s a fact, according to former pool boy Joe LaLane (son of fitness king Jack LaLane). Joe apparently drew the wrath of Ms. Spears when he was caught lounging by the pool with K-Fed. He says Brit was none too pleased to discover her hubby kicking back in a chaise lounge, and she “glared” at Joe as if to blame him for hubby’s lack of work ethic. The next day, Joe was fired. An overreaction, says Joe, an aspiring musician, who claims he and K-Fed were only taking a moment to comparing notes on their fledgling music careers (oh, to be a fly on the wall…).
- Lindsay Lohan had to be taken to a local hospital after becoming overheated on the set of her new movie, Georgia Rule.

I was listening to a gossip columnist on the radio the other day who said neighbors had seen plenty of sign in the last few weeks that Kid Rock has arrived and left his home but no one had spotted Pam there once, leading insiders to wonder what their marriage is all about.
