The E! channel announced the summer debut of the new reality show Pamela that revolves around the life of Pamela Anderson. While the announcement of a new reality show these days is really neither interesting or shocking to the general public, producers say this show…wait for it… "will be an artistically rich and visually stunning series." Okay, so they can say whatever they like, it isn't a "reality show," it's a documentary (they're calling it "docu-style") but in the end, they must know that it's a reality show -- nothing more nothing less.

An "Iconic Superstar"

Yes, just as the producers are trying to sell Pamela as a documentary, they also are trying to sell the fact that Pamela Anderson is an "iconic superstar." Really? Not to be snarky but, this is a woman who is best known for posing in Playboy, making a sex tape with ex-husband Tommy Lee and trouncing around on the beach with David Hasselhoff on Baywatch. Celebrity? Sure. "Iconic superstar", not so much.
