October 2: Kelly Ripa and Sting

TV queen Kelly Ripa turns 37 on October 2. Ripa got her start on Dance Party USA, but has since conquered both daytime and primetime with her roles on the soap All My Children, the sitcom Hope and Faith, and of course, Live with Regis and Kelly.

Sting turns 49 again (just kidding, he really is turning 49) on October 2 as well. Sting rose to fame while asking you to please not stand so close to him with his band The Police and has since carried on a wildly successful solo career. He’ll be celebrating his birthday with a new release, Songs from the Labyrinth; an album of songs based on the music an Elizabethan songwriter named John Dowland.

October 4: Susan Sarandon

October 4 is party time for Susan Sarandon, who turns 60. The actress can sometimes be a divisive figure, due to her social activism, but you don’t have to love her politics to love her in films such as Thelma and Louise and The Witches of Eastwick.

October 5: Kate Winslet

Kate Winselt turns 31 on October 5. Winslet became a household name after starring in the movie Titanic and has been going strong ever since. If for some reason your October celebrity birthday invitation has been lost in the mail, you can still celebrate with Winslet by going to see her latest film, All The King’s Men, which is in theaters now.

October 10: Mario Lopez

Swooning girls everywhere, take note. October 10 should now be designated as Mario Lopez day. Lopez turns 33 on October 10, but he’s still as fresh faced as he was on graduation day at Bayside High in Saved by the Bell. At the time of writing, Lopez is dazzling TV viewers on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.

October 13: Marie Osmond

Current Celebrity Duets judge Marie Osmond turns 47 on October 13.

October 20: Snoop Doggy Dogg and Viggo Mortensen

The D-O-double G turns 34 on October 20. Dr. Dre’s first protégée hit the airwaves in the early 90s and has since seen success on both the radio and the big screen. Don’t be fooled by his gangsta, ladies’ man persona; Snoop is actually a devoted father and married to his high school sweetheart.

Viggo Mortensen, who turns 48 on October 20, is best known for playing Aragon in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

October 21: Judge Judy

No nonsense TV judge Judy Judy Scheindlin will be 64 on October 21. We doubt she’s sweating it because, as she is so fond of saying, “beauty fades, dumb is forever.”

October 28: Julia Roberts

Julia Roberts, who turns 39 on October 28, has been charming us since moving to the big time in 1988’s Mystic Pizza. Parts in Steel Magnolias, Pretty Woman, Notting Hill, and Erin Brokovich, among other, have turned her into one of Hollywood’s most powerful female actresses. She is currently playing the role of Mom to twins Hazel and Phinnaeus.

October 29: Winona Ryder

Winona Ryder has been largely absent from our movie screens since the late 1990s, save a few cameo roles here and there. Movies fans, however, won’t soon forget her films like Edward Scissorhands, Heathers, and Beetlejuice. She is set to return to the big screen in 2007 with three new movies. She turns 35 on October 29.

October 30: Harry Hamlin

Harry Hamlin, currently picking up where his fellow trout-pout lipped wife left on Dancing with the Stars, turns 55 on October 30. Harry is best known for his role on LA Law.
