Nicole Richie’s arrest doesn’t seem to be a big surprise these days, given the celebrity screw-ups of late. With this latest arrest, Richie is in good company with the recent “Oops!” of pals Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and Britney Spears.
Nicole Richie’s Arrest
TMZ.com reported on December 11 that Nicole Richie was arrested early that morning and booked at 4:05 AM, before being released at 7:15 AM. Her arrest came after witnesses called 911 when they saw her driving the wrong way on the 134 Freeway in Burbank, California.
Police Details
When Richie was pulled over, she was alone in her vehicle and talking on her cell phone. The police reported that Richie admitted to taking Vicodin and smoking pot. She had not been drinking, as an alcohol screening test confirmed. Her booking photo can be viewed at TMZ.com, with details of her booking sheet logging the skinny celebrity at 5’1” and 85 pounds.
Previous Problems
Nicole Richie faced problems in 2003, when she pled guilty to heroin possession. She completed probation and the charges were later dismissed.
