Nicole Richie Announces Second Pregnancy

Nicole Richie just announced that she and boyfriend Joel Madden are expecting their second child together.

Like many young celebrities, the Richie/Madden family decided to announce their news on the Good Charlotte website. Proud papa Joel posted that the news was "…better than winning an Oscar."

The announcement for the newest addition to the family comes a little over a year after the couple welcomed their first child, Harlow, into their lives.

From Wild Child to Raising a Child

Nicole Richie was not so long ago best known for her drug problems (and subsequent arrests), eating disorder, blowing loads of money on living an extravagant lifestyle and spending her nights drinking, smoking and doing whatever she pleased.

When Nicole found out she was pregnant with Harlow, her partying lifestyle came to an abrupt, and it seems permanent, stop. The 27-year-old has stated a number of times that her daughter is the "best thing" to ever happen to her and that she couldn't imagine her life without her.

Father Joel Madden seems to share in the same exuberant sentiment as Nicole. In his blog announcement, he stated that he hoped that all his fans were "…feeling as good" as he was and also expressed his feeling that his family has been "truly blessed."

It seems that raising a family has suited the young couple very well as you rarely, if ever, see either of them out without their daughter and those old bad habits of Nicole's seem to be a thing of the long forgotten past.
