Here's how the story goes: Florence Henderson made claims that while filming The Surreal Life for VH1, Christopher Knight called his onscreen mama for a little advice about his budding relationship with Adrienne Curry. Mrs. Brady stated that she believed VH1 was pressuring Knight and Curry to tie the knot to boost ratings. Henderson's sage advice to Peter was to tell him not to get married to "this person."

The Very Televised Relationship

Adrienne and Christopher, against Florence's wishes, did indeed wed. There relationship and their wedding was highly televised on VH1 with My Fair Brady, My Fair Brady: We're Getting Married and My Fair Brady: Maybe Baby (Overkill? Maybe). The marriage is Adrienne's first and Christopher's third. Maybe Mrs. Henderson saw Knight's other two marriages crash and burn and was simply advising him to take his time with this marriage and not let the cameras pressure him into rushing it? Her comments point to feelings of a more catty nature, stating:

"They didn’t take my advice at all! And as you may have seen, they did get engaged and they did get married. Maybe I will counsel the divorce."

The Reactions

Anyone who's ever been guilty of catching a glimpse of any of the Brady shows on VH1, knows that Adrienne Curry has a bit of a temper. Her reaction, true to form was: "[Henderson] may not be asking for it, but I am going to give it to her. My anger is released…" per her MySpace page.

Knight's reaction was a bit more benign: "Since I was a child I looked up to Florence as a consummate professional and as a woman of unique class. I can only hope these recent comments are an aberration or better yet, taken completely out of context...".
