Mischa Barton Medical Mystery

A Mischa Barton medical mystery is under way as she summoned the L.A.P.D. to her home recently for reasons unknown.

During the height of The O.C., it seemed that Mischa Barton was on her way to superstardom, didn't it? Well she left the show, got picked up for driving under the influence and most can't even remember a single film she's been in since her character's death on The O.C. The only recent news about Barton is that the seemingly wilting away actress called the Los Angeles Police Department for help the other night.

The call was of the non-emergency kind and no details are being released as to what is wrong with the once rising starlet. The only statement made regarding the incident referred to the fact that it was a "medical issue" in which the 23-year-old Barton needed assistance with. The statement went on to further elaborate (sort of) that no arrests were made and Barton was taken to a nearby hospital.

Her reps, of course, say that Mischa did leave her home that night, but did not release where it is she went. Not to think the worst, but usually when reps use the good old "undisclosed location" excuse, is that not usually code for rehab?.
