Mickey Rourke Arrested for DUI

Mickey Rourke, who gained Hollywood leading man status with his role in the racy film 9½ Weeks, was arrested on November 8, 2007 for suspicion of driving under the influence – while driving his scooter.
About Mickey Rourke
While Rourke appeared in many films throughout the 1980s, it was his role in 9 ½ Weeks, opposite Kim Basinger, that made Rourke a household name. His career had its starts and stops – he starred in the movie Angel Heart with Lisa Bonet in 1987, but left the acting profession in the early 1990s to be a boxer. After his retirement from boxing, he returned to acting, but it wasn’t until 2005's Sin City that he made a real comeback.
Rourke’s Arrest
Hollywood DUI arrests are becoming commonplace these days – everyone from [Lindsay Lohan's DUI Arrest |Lindsay Lohan]] to Paris Hilton to Kiefer Sutherland have been caught drinking and driving. Rourke’s arrest is the most unique of the bunch, however – he was arrested while driving a Vespa scooter. Police initially pulled Rourke over after making a U-turn at a red light, then driving erratically. He failed both the field-sobriety test and alcohol breath test. In his defense, Rourke said, "I'm not drunk, I didn't even drink that much.”
