Michael Jordan's Divorce Settlement Tops
Forbes' List
From LoveToKnow Celebrity
It looks like Michael Jordan may break some records again. In a report released April 12, 2007, Forbes.com ranks the retired NBA great's pending divorce settlement as possibly the "most expensive"-- ever.
A Look at Celebrity Divorces
Staff members at the business Web site examined divorces during the last 25 years and only used information that was available and reliable to make up the "10 Most Expensive Celebrity Divorces," according to Forbes.com. Juanita Jordan filed for divorce in 2006 after 17 years of marriage. Over the course of their marriage, Michael Jordan earned more than $350 million through endorsements and playing basketball. If she goes for half of his assets, the soon-to-be ex-Mrs. Jordan could walk away with at more than $150 million. The couple, who have three children together, cites "irreconcilable differences."
More Expensive Celebrity Divorces
Other celebrities named to Forbes' list and their estimated settlements include:
- Neil Diamond and Marcia Murphey ($150 million)

Michael Jordan's Other Celebrity Ranking
It looks like the celebrity divorce settlement is probably the only one Michael Jordan is topping for now. In 2006, he ranked just 26th among Forbes' Top 10 Celebrities for that year.
