Will the Michael Jackson estate drama ever end?

Almost immediately after the "King of Pop's" passing, speculation arose regarding the true amount of his indebtedness. Turned out that Jackson did, indeed, have a ton of debt, but he also had a ton of assets. After it was settled that some of his assets would be sold to pay off his debt, came the issue of the life insurance policy he held.

When the issue of Jackson's life insurance policy arose, there was much speculation that it would not be paid out because the multi-million dollar policy excluded "illicit drug use." The policy ended up being paid out with the majority of the proceeds put in trust funds for his children and a portion doled out to his mother Katherine to cover the cost of their care.

This most recent round in the Michael Jackson estate drama concerns making money off Jackson memorabilia. Earlier, a judge approved a request to manufacture and sell Jackson merchandise and now the folks at AEG Live want to take items Jackson wore on a tour of its own. Katherine Jackson put the kibosh on the whole thing, citing concerns about her son's legacy.

Other reports read that although Katherine is concerned about preserving her son's musical legacy, she is also extremely concerned with how the proceeds from this proposed memorabilia tour will be split. Stay tuned for an all but guaranteed round four in the Michael Jackson estate drama.
