Mel Gibson and Jewish Public Relations
From LoveToKnow Celebrity
He's a Nice Guy
Before producing The Passion of Christ, Mel Gibson was known as a nice guy and a super family man. He has seven children and has been married to the same wife for 26 years. He was renowned for having an unbelievably charismatic personality and the uncanny ability to pick winning roles. During the production and promotion of Passion, he super sized his image from great guy to demi-god status as he charmed religious communities everywhere into believing he was doing "God's work" and that any anti-Semitic overtones in The Passion of Christ were necessary to properly portray the sentiments of the era, not a reflection of his personal feelings towards Jews.
Oops
Well, he's blown that image out of the water between his July 28 arrest for drinking while under the influence and the not-so-nice things he had to say to the arresting officer about Jews. Now the blue-eyed celebrity is on his knees, begging for forgiveness from the Jewish community, and according to ABC News, Gibson is "reaching out to ask Jewish leaders to help him discover 'the appropriate path for healing.'"
Speculation on Mel Gibson's Future
Mel Gibson, a staunch Catholic, has occasionally received bad press regarding drug and alcohol use. Many now speculate that bouts with depression have led him to this regrettable juncture in his life, and fans can only hope he will repent for his sins and see the light before his 30-year acting career ends in a blaze of anti-Semitic curses. He has already suffered the wrath of Barbara Walters, who is now boycotting all of his movies.
You really have to wonder if we should be looking for a plague of locust to land on his Australian behind before he ever recovers from this little Celebrity Oops.

Some guy hit it on the head the other day. Gibson is worth close to a billion dollars. You would think he could hire a driver for his late night bar trips, but I suppose a man likes to think he can go out alone sometimes.
