Matthew McConaughey to Launch Clothing Line

From LoveToKnow Celebrity

Matthew McConaughey is more well known for not wearing shirts then he is for wearing them. Regardless of that fact, the oft-seen shirtless movie star has announced that he is launching a line of beach wear.

The McConaughey Clothing Line

Matthew McConaughey is releasing a clothing line of beach wear under his j.k. livin brand. The brand is already the name of a production company and record label owned by the sexy star. The upcoming line is said to include:

  • Swimwear
  • Beach shorts
  • Surfboard decals
  • Frisbees

The name brand "j.k. livin" stems from a similar one uttered by McConaughey's David Wooderson character in 1993's Dazed and Confused of "You just gotta keep livin man, L-I-V-I-N." The line apparently stuck with him, as his j.k. livin brand has been operating since 1996. According to McConaughey, these are the words he lives by and they stand for "just keep livin" and that there is no "g" on the end of the word "livin" because "life's a verb."

On his blog, he often signs off with the phrase and says it at least once or twice during interviews.

Where to Get the Goods

Although the official release of the entire j.k. livin clothing line and other beach gear won't be available until this summer, die hard fans can still purchase some items via the Internet at the official Matthew McConaughey website j.k. livin. The website also features music, pictures and a blog by McConaughey.

So, will this be the end of the plethora of pics that feature a shirtless McConaughey? Probably not, but who's really complaining?
