Mary-Kate's Current Events
Years have passed since her Michelle Tanner days on Full House. The now 21-year-old is a certified multi-millionaire. Mary-Kate, along with her sister Ashley, are ranked number 37 on Forbes Magazine's Celebrity 100 list with earnings last year estimated at $40 million.
Her New Role
Mary-Kate joined the award-winning cast of Showtime's Weeds to play the role of Tara Lindman, a girl completely devoted to all things Christian, but still partakes in a little recreational drug use. Tara is the love interest of pot-dealing, suburban mom, Nancy Botwin's (Mary-Louise Parker) son, Silas (Hunter Parrish). This role is the first time Mary-Kate has appeared on the small or big screen without sister Ashley by her side.
Mary-Kate's Health Problems
Over the past two or three years, Mary-Kate Olsen has been relatively healthy. It was three years ago when she entered Utah's famed Cirque Lodge rehab facility for treatment of anorexia nervosa. Since her treatment and release, Mary-Kate has been in the news for the usual celebrity gossip fodder, like who she is dating, who is dating her ex-boyfriends and who she likes to party with -- but not for any health related problems. That is, until she was admitted to a New York hospital for a kidney infection.
No further information is being offered as to the severity of the kidney infection. The petite powerhouse is set to be released from the hospital on Wednesday, November 21, in time to spend Thanksgiving with her family.
