Reports have been confirmed that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon got hitched over the weekend.

Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey were Dating?

Most people barely knew that Mariah and Cannon were even dating. Sightings of the couple getting cozy in public began circulating around the Hollywood rumor mill just a few weeks ago. Other reports state that the two have been secretly seeing each other since she worked with him in March on her music video Bye Bye.

Ring Flashing

When pictures circulated of Mariah taken at this year's Tribeca Film Festival, which runs from April 23 to May 4, people noticed she was wearing a considerably sized accessory on her ring finger that she hadn't worn to other events…a 17 carat pink diamond ring.

Secret Wedding

When the rumors that 38-year old Mariah and 27 year old Nick secretly wed at her home in the Bahamas surfaced a day or so ago, no one believed it to be true. Most people thought it was a promotional hoax as Mariah's album E=MC2 had just been released and Cannon has no less than four movies due out some time this year.

A "family friend" of Cannon's confirmed to the press that the two had said their vows but refused to give any further details, stating that if Nick was happy, the family was happy for him. Mariah's camp, on the other hand, is a bit more concerned, claiming that everything went so fast that no pre-nup was signed. According to Forbes the songstress pulled in $225 million in 2007.

This is Mariah's second marriage - she and first husband Tommy Mottola divorced in 1998 - and Nick's first, although he was engaged twice before to Christina Millian and model Selita Ebanks.
