Madonna's Tour Met With Blasphemous Reviews

From LoveToKnow Celebrity

First, let me say that I am way relieved to hear Madonna has given up on the dream of acting. After such questionable appearances in movies such as Body of Evidence, Swept Away, and Evita, I wouldn't think she would have any movie fans left. When I see a woman with her talent as a business woman repeatedly failing to live up to her own hype, all I can do is shake my head.

That said, what does it say about her career when not only is the Roman Catholic Church ready to bring back witch trials but her own daughter is her biggest critic?

Madonna's Little Girl

In a recent interview Madonna reveled that her daughter Lourdes is her biggest critic. The nine-year old has comment that Madonna's gyrating dance in a leotard was "disgusting", and she has also voiced concerns that her mother may be gay after seeing the diva kiss Britney Spears during her concert.

Am I the only one who read that the "material girl" would not let her children watch TV? Apparently she prefers to educate her children about the seedier side of life herself.

Crucifying the Pop Diva

As if including a crucifixion dance routine in her Rome concert performance was not enough to cause an uproar, Madonna invited the Pope to attend, thinking he would find her act beautiful and elegant. Fancy this, the Pope was unable to attend and let Ersilio Cardinal Tonino speak on his behalf. The words "blasphemous" and "excommunication" came up, so I'm thinking the Pope did not ask for a rain check just because he could not fit her in his schedule.

As if the that were not enough to make Madonna one of the least popular people in Italy at the moment, one of the most popular Roman Catholic Churches in Milan is now draped with a larger-than-life advertisement for Swedish fashion chain Hennes & Maritz featuring none other than, you guessed it, the Like a Virgin songstress.

In Conclusion

Perhaps Madonna and Mel Gibson can team up and manage to offend all religions before the year is out.
