Lindsay Lohan Continues Rehab, Gives up Role
From LoveToKnow Celebrity
In January 2007, Lindsay Lohan entered rehab at Wonderland Center in California. While she continues her treatment, she has also decided to pass on a film project.
Passing up a Meaty Role
Lohan decided not to take the role of Hester Worsley in A Woman of No Importance, opposite Annette Bening. While the part would be a terrific career opportunity for the young star, she has decided to instead focus on her treatment. Lohan was scheduled to take on the role in the Oscar Wilde film adaptation, but her publicist reported that the actress dropped the project so that she could continue her rehab.
In her place, Jessica Biel has been offered the role. Biel, who once starred on 7th Heaven, was recently seen in Home of the Brave. Her next role is opposite Nicolas Cage and Julianne Moore in the thriller, Next, as well as the upcoming Adam Sandler film, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. Previous films include Elizabethtown and The Illusionist.
Lindsay Lohan’s Continued Treatment
The rehab is having a positive effect, according to mom Dina Lohan. She told People magazine at a recent Child magazine fashion show, "She's amazing. She's great and she's happy. She's in a really good space right now."
Still Working
Although in rehab, Lohan has been allowed to work during the day. She went back to work on the film I Know Who Killed Me just nine days after starting her treatment program. She will hit the road to promote the film Georgia Rule, co-starring Jane Fonda and Felicity Huffman.
She will also begin shooting the film The Best Time of Our Lives in late April, which co-stars Keira Knightly.
