Lindsay Lohan’s Arrest, Rehab Treatment

In the early hours of May 26, 2007, actress Lindsay Lohan was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after crashing her car into a curb in Los Angeles, California. About 48 hours after a night out on the town ended with her passed out in a car, she admitted herself into a rehab facility.
The Incident
The catalyst for her second stint in rehab was a car accident on the morning of May 26, 2007, which led to her arrest for DUI. She crashed her Mercedes convertible into a curb and was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. The other passengers in the car were not hurt. During a press conference, police said they found “a usable amount of cocaine” at the scene.
The Party Never Ends
The accident didn’t slow down Lohan’s pace at all, as she was spotted less than two days later leaving a club and falling to the ground before being carried to her friend’s car. Paparazzi snapped a photo of Lindsay in the passenger seat, passed out from the apparent overindulgence.
Rehab, Part Two
After rumors began to circulate that Lohan would be entering rehab, her rep confirmed the speculation, saying, "Lindsay admitted herself to an intensive medical rehabilitation facility on Memorial Day. Because this is a medical matter, it is our hope that the press will appreciate the seriousness of the situation and respect the privacy of Lindsay as well as the other patients receiving treatment at the facility."
According to E! Online, Lohan is “undergoing a rigorous detox program to help wean her of multiple addictions to alcohol and drugs, including the powerful painkiller OxyContin.”
Upcoming Film
News of her rehab has many wondering if she will be able to participate in filming her newest movie, Poor Things, with Olympia Dukakis, Shirley MacLaine and Rosario Dawson. Her stay at Promises treatment center (where pal Britney Spears also was treated) may interfere with production of the film.
