Lauren Conrad Denies Teen Vogue Firing
From LoveToKnow Celebrity
Lauren Conrad, star of the MTV series The Hills, has become a popular fixture on the reality star circuit. Despite the rumors about the status of her job at Teen Vogue, Conrad is denying that she was fired.
Teen Vogue Opportunity
Lauren Conrad started working as an intern for Teen Vogue during the first season of The Hills in 2005 – it showcased her life as a young working woman at a popular teen publication.
At the end of the first season of The Hills, Conrad was offered an opportunity to go to France for Teen Vogue, but turned down the offer because of her relationship with Jason Wahler. The two later broke up.
Second Chance at France
On the season finale of The Hills second year, Lauren Conrad was given a second chance to go to France with co-worker Whitney Port. This time, she didn’t turn down the opportunity.
Fired From Teen Vogue?
While The Hills will air a special follow-up to the second season finale – eight episodes that highlight Whitney and L.C. in France (among other Hills drama... Heidi Montag and more!) – rumors began swirling about the girls future with Teen Vogue.
Conrad and Port were reportedly let go from Teen Vogue, and the magazine was said to have not wanted to continue working with MTV because of the girls behavior.
Lauren Conrad Denies Rumors
Lauren Conrad is setting the record straight, however. According to the reality starlet, "No, no, it was a decision I made because I was kind of done. I've been doing it for about two years, so I'm kind of done."
