Kristy Swanson, the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Skating with Celebrities winner, was recently arrested on assault charges.
About Kristy Swanson
Kristy Swanson started her career at just 15 years old, acting in commercials before landing movie roles. While she has appeared in many films, she is most well-known for the cult classic film Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which spawned the popular television series of the same name.
In 2006, Swanson appeared on the reality show Skating with Celebrities, where she was paired with professional skater Lloyd Eisler. The pair won the competition.
Love on the Ice
During the skating competition, Swanson and Eisler started dating, and Eisler left his then eight-month pregnant wife for Swanson. Interestingly enough, Eisler and Swanson had a child together in February 2007.
Swanson Arrested
On June 16, 2007, Kristy Swanson was arrested for allegedly assaulting Eisler’s ex-wife, Marcia O'Brien, in Ontario, Canada. The actress was released on $500 bail. While the exact details of the incident are unknown, Swanson claims that she was attacked by O’Brien. A complaint was filed by O'Brien against Swanson, which led to the arrest. Swanson, in return, has filed a counter assault claim against O’Brien, maintaining that she has photos of the injuries she received during the attack. The squabble was said to have happened in front of Eisler and O’Brien’s children when they picked them up at O’Brien’s home.
