Kimberly Caldwell and David Cook get Cozy
From LoveToKnow Celebrity
Newly minted American Idol winner David Cook is reportedly dating former Idol contestant Kimberly Caldwell.
Romance Blooms on Idol
After her run on season two of American Idol (she finished in the top 10), Caldwell has kept busy. She has appeared on the cover of Maxim and as a correspondent for Showbiz Tonight on CNN, Fox News Live and Ryan on Air with Ryan Seacrest. She currently works as an entertainment reporter for the TV Guide Channel. Cook and Caldwell met while she was covering the latest season of American Idol.
Kimberly was interviewing David for the show Idol Tonight when he said "I've been hearing you say all these nice things about me all season. So, I'm actually going to ask you to dinner right now." Caldwell accepted his invitation and after she gave him a hug, excitedly said to the camera, "I just got asked out on a date!"
Cook later reported on Live with Regis and Kelly that the two had a great time and the they planned on continuing to date. He also spoke openly about the budding romance on Larry King Live saying that the relationship "will be a bit of a long, drawn out process."
Careful David, you know what they say about loose lips.
Musical Futures
Cook's previously self-released album Analog Heart (2006) is currently topping the most downloaded albums on Amazon.com. He is reportedly planning to work with Ryan Tedder of the band One Republic and Jesse McCartney (who penned Leona Lewis' breakout hit Bleeding Love) on his post Idol debut album.
Kimberly Caldwell is currently working on her debut album with country music superstar John Rich of Big and Rich. Her album is set for release sometime in 2008.
