No Love in This Lockdown

Remember way back in September of this year when Kanye and his manager were arrested in Los Angeles over a scuffle with the paparazzi? If you don't remember, read about it here for a little refresher. This second arrest incident pretty much mirrors the first in which Kanye got into a fight with a photographer trying to snap some pics of him - but this time, West shoved the camera in the man's face as opposed to breaking it like he did the first time. He did, however, yell the usual profanities.

The photographer claimed to have cuts and bruises to his face and the police arrested West at his hotel.

Catch and Release

Shortly after his arrest, West was released with a statement from police that "…no further action" would be taken against the musician. After this incident, it's a little difficult to believe Kanye's claim on his blog after the last time he allegedly assaulted a photographer that he's "…cool with the paparazzi." He also claimed that he would "..rant later" about the first scuffle, but never did.

Getting Old

This news of Kanye or anyone else assaulting the paparazzi is getting a bit old. Isn't getting your personal space invaded a part of the job description? Sure, sure, the paparazzi can be very aggressive and invasive and that has to get more than annoying - there should definitely be limits as to how the very aggressive photographers pursue celebrities. Here's a question though - if all the photographers went away and didn't care to take pictures of celebrities any more (meaning the public was no longer interested in the celebrity), wouldn't those celebrities be begging them to come back…eventually?
