K Fed Still Attached to Brit's Purse Strings
From LoveToKnow Celebrity
Getting a divorce and sorting out child custody issues is messy but the Spears/Federline divorce is turning out to be messier than most.
K-Fed to Brit: "Gimme More"
Yes, Kevin Federline has (surprisingly) turned out to be a more responsible parent than mama Brit. That's been proven time and again by Britney's own actions. Yes, Britney does rake in a reported $750,000 per month... and K-Fed? Well, he gets what she gives him in court ordered spousal support, a measly $20,000 per month. His children receive $15,000 a month in child support for a grand total of a yearly income of $420,000 per year -- for doing what he did when he was married to Brit…nothing.
How He's Still Hanging On
Kevin Federline may no longer be Mr. Britney Spears, but he is definitely still attached to her money. Apparently, in October 2007, the defunct backup dancer petitioned the court for Britney to pay his $160,000 legal bills. On November 6, the judge granted K-Fed's petition and ordered Britney Spears to shell out $120,000 to Kevin Federline to pay for said bills.
The Decision
Supposedly, K-Fed has a net worth of around $726,000 and reports have been circling that Britney makes more than that per month. So, the story here is that although Britney pays her ex-husband almost half a million dollars a year in spousal and child support, he still can't afford to foot his legal bills. Huh? Is this really about legal bills or is this a thinly veiled attempt to squeeze every last dime out of Brit before the $20,000 per month in spousal support comes to an end next week? You be the judge.
Proof Positive
Just about everybody under the sun thought K-Fed was, like the Kanye West song goes, a gold digger. Asking his ex-wife to pay for legal bills that he can so clearly afford only goes to show that everyone was right.
Here's an idea for K-Fed -- it may sound outrageous, but how about trying this? Get a job. Stop living a lifestyle you cannot afford, put your children's $15,000 a month away for their college education. Be a good parent by being a role model for your boys. This now concludes the end of this lecture.
