Tight Lipped Relationship

In the beginning of their relationship, neither Jay-Z nor Beyonce would confirm or deny that they were a couple. After a period of time and many tabloid pictures of the two together later, they could no longer deny that they were together, though the couple still refused to speak publicly about their relationship.

Wedding Rumors

During the course of their six-year relationship, constant wedding rumors circulated around the couple. All of which proved to be untrue until recently when word got out that the music power couple applied for a marriage license in the small town of Scarsdale Village, New York, located about 30 minutes away from their TriBeCa loft.

Small Ceremony

A source close to the couple made a statement to E! News that the duo wanted the ceremony, like their relationship, to be a "private affair". Aside from family members, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams were reported to attend and Beyonce's minister from her hometown in Houston was said to officiate the ceremony. Rumors that Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay husband Chris Martin attended the nuptials and pictures of George Clooney were snapped in the area, though no confirmation on whether or not he attended the wedding.

Future Wedding Plans

Another source close to the newlyweds claims that they are planning a wedding in France in May after Jay-Z's tour with Mary J. Blige ends.
