Ivanka Trump Gets Married
From LoveToKnow Celebrity
Ivanka Trump, daughter of real estate mogul and The Apprentice host Donald Trump, married fiance Jared Kushner on October 25, 2009. The bride and groom had been dating for two years, and were engaged in July.
The Trump Wedding Dress
Ivanka walked down the aisle wearing a custom-made Vera Wang gown. The dress, in solid white, featured an elegant lace overlay and full skirt, complete with a long white veil. It was a classy look for Ivanka, who spurred the recent trend of showing too much skin in a wedding dress.
The inspiration for Ivanka's dress was Grace Kelly's wedding gown, which she wore when she married Prince Rainier III in 1956.
Ivanka chose to wear diamond jewelery from her own collection, The Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelery Collection.
The Wedding
The Trump-Kushner wedding was held at the Trump National Golf Course in Bedminster, New Jersey. 500 guests were in attendance, including celebrities such as Regis Philbin, Natalie Portman, Russell Crowe and Barbara Walters.
Ivanka Trump converted to Judaism in order to be allowed to wed her sweetheart and the ceremony was a traditional Jewish wedding. The reception included traditional speeches and plenty of dancing.
The couple plans to honeymoon in Africa, but the week after the wedding, Trump was back at her desk.
