Hulk and Linda Hogan Divorced

Former pro-wrestler Hulk Hogan and Linda Bollea Hogan have finalized their divorce after 23 years of marriage.

One point of contention during the divorce proceedings was the high price tag on the settlement that Hogan would have to pay out to his estranged wife. While no total amount was actually disclosed, Hulk is said to be worth between 26 and 32 million dollars.

Linda Bollea Hogan had asked for a lump sum, division of property, as well as alimony and child support for their 19-year-old son Nick Bollea Hogan, who had recently caused a scandal by being jailed for eight months on charges of reckless driving.

Linda had filed for divorce back in 2007 and Hulk reportedly found out about this via the media. Both parties had been very public with their grievances about the other and the reports escalated into an all-out verbal war.

Hogan went so far as to claim that he understood how O.J. Simpson, the former athlete accused and acquitted of murdering his wife, felt and could see how things could "turn into a crime scene."

Hulk Hogan allegedly had many affairs during the last years of their marriage, including one with a friend of his adult daughter Brooke.

The Hogans were married on December 12, 1983. They have two children, Nick and Brooke. Hulk Hogan was, at one time, the most famous professional wrestler on the planet, with a career that lasted for over 20 years. He is said to be considering making a comeback to the world of wrestling, at the age of 56.

The Hogan family were the subjects of a reality show on VH1 that followed them through the trials and tribulations of their daily lives. The show ran for four years before the announcement of the Hogan divorce ended its run.
