Heidi Montag to Launch Clothing Line

The Hills Heidi Montag is set to launch a clothing line some time this spring.

Heidi Decides to Design

Montag is the second cast member of the MTV drama to enter the world of fashion design. Former friend Lauren Conrad debuted the spring collection of her clothing line during Los Angeles Fashion Week, receiving a standing ovation from the crowd at the conclusion of her show.

For Conrad, designing clothes seems like a natural progression in her career. She did intern for Teen Vogue for a couple of years and attends the Fashion Institute of Design and merchandising, but for Montag, most people just don't get it. What happened to her singing career?

The Line

The name of Montag's clothing line is Heidiwood (no joke) and is geared toward girls between the ages of 16 and 21. The line that is set to be available at Anchor Blue stores this spring includes:

Graphic t-shirts
Brightly colored dresses and shirts
Zebra print jewelry
Oversized handbags

Designing Help

No word on whether or not Heidi Montag enlisted the help of an actual, professional designer to help her with her line. Hopefully she did though, or else her pieces are going to look a lot like her music video…disastrous. Then again, the items that are going to make up her entire collection don't seem very difficult to design, just a matter of finding a few cool graphics for t-shirts and choosing a couple of bright colors for other shirts and dresses.
