Heidi Montag Unhappy About Song Leak
From LoveToKnow Celebrity
Heidi Montag, star of MTV’s The Hills, has been making headlines lately for her verbal war with costar Lauren Conrad. The latest wrinkle in her saga was the leak of a song she recorded – that was not meant for public consumption.
About the Song
Ryan Seacrest announced the “world premiere” of Montag’s song, “Body Language” during his KISS-FM radio show on August 16, 2007. Montag’s fiancée (and manager), Spencer Pratt, who is heard rapping on the single, said that version of the song was never supposed to be released. According to Pratt, "We did it as a joke. It's not her single at all. It was never meant to be heard by anyone but us. Heidi is so upset because this was not the first sound she wanted people to hear from her."
Heidi Montag’s Singing Career
Since appearing on The Hills, Montag is making a career move into music while planning her wedding to Pratt. Her reaction to the single being played on Seacrest’s show? "I was beyond thrilled," she later told Seacrest, until she realized it was the wrong version. "Spencer and I were just messing around in the studio and that wasn't the first single I wanted."
Hills Battle
The beef between Montag and Conrad began during the season two finale of The Hills, when Montag moved out of the apartment she shared with BFF Conrad to live with her boyfriend, Pratt. The drama continued after the cameras stopped rolling, with a public fallout at a Los Angeles club in May 2007. The feud continued when Montag refused to be photographed with Conrad for season three promotional photographs. More insults were flung during interviews, until MTV finally put The Hills cast on “media blackout,” keeping them from providing further interviews.
