Where Did it Go Wrong?

Paul McCartney and Heather Mills announced their separation in May, but once the divorce proceedings were underway, things instantly turned bitter and the media hopped on board. The latest news comes from Britain's Daily Mail newspaper, reporting on an alleged court document "containing accounts of acrimony and mistreatment during their four-year marriage." More specifically, that includes drug use, drunkenness and assault with a broken wine glass.

Is the Document Real?

Britain’s Daily Mail published portions of the court document. There is speculation, however, about whether it is official -- a British media lawyer said on The Early Show this morning that he doubted the document's authenticity.

The McCartney/Mills Divorce Trudges On

With the latest allegations, you can bet Paul McCartney won't take this lying down, with his lawyers saying, "ur client will be defending these allegations vigorously and appropriately." McCartney's lawyers further commented that "Our client is saddened by the breakdown of his marriage and requests that his family is allowed to conduct their personal affairs out of the media spotlight for the sake of everybody involved." McCartney and Mills have a three-year-old daughter, Beatrice.
