Former Family Ties Star Has Baby Boy

Tina Yothers, who played younger sister Jennifer Keaton on television’s Family Ties, gave birth to a baby boy on September 24, 2007.

Tina Yothers became a regular fixture on TV screens in the 1980s when she appeared on Family Ties, opposite Michael J. Fox and Justine Bateman. Playing the youngest Keaton sibling (until the show introduced a new baby brother to the Keaton clan) thrust Yothers into the spotlight. Following her turn on the long-running series in 1989, Yothers all but left acting behind, with the exception of a made-for-TV film about skater Tonya Harding and an appearance on an episode of Perry Mason. She later formed a band with her brother and died her blond hair black.

In 2006, Yothers appeared on fourth season of Celebrity Fit Club on VH1, losing 42 pounds. The former actress won that season of the celebreality show and continues to hold the record for second highest weight loss on the series. As a result, the actress appeared in a segment for the show where she shopped for and modeled a bikini.

Since her time on Fit Club, Yothers has continued to keep the weight off through regular exercise and the NutriSystem diet plan.

Yothers married an electrician, Robert Kaiser, in 2002. The couple has a two-year-old daughter, Lillian, and Kaiser has two sons from a previous marriage. The pair welcomed their newest addition, Jake.
