Farrah Fawcett Accepts Ryan's Proposal

After a lifetime together, Farrah Fawcett accepted Ryan O'Neal's proposal.

Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O'Neal began seeing each other over 25 years ago but their relationship was not without tumultuous times. Ryan's daughter Tatum, did not like the fact that he was in a relationship with Farrah and this disagreement strained their father/daughter relationship to a breaking point. Then came their son Redmond and a whole host of drug abuse issues that still haunt him today.

Ryan O'Neal once said that he used to propose marriage to Farrah constantly, but then just gave up because she thwarted all of his proposals and refused to marry him. Over the years, the two have split and gotten back together numerous times, but it was when Farrah began her battle with cancer when Ryan ran back to her side.

A few years after her cancer diagnosis, Fawcett announced that she was cancer free, only for the disease to reappear a short time later. Ryan O'Neal has remained unwaveringly by Farrah's side as her health continued to rapidly deteriorate. O'Neal decided to propose once again, to the woman he described as "…powerful, courageous and fearless" and she finally accepted.

Their relationship may have not been "storybook," but their love is definitely one for the ages.
