Elisabeth Hasselbeck Pregnant
From LoveToKnow Celebrity
Former Survivor and current co-host on The View, Elisabeth Hasselbeck is pregnant.
Baby Number Three
Hasselbeck and husband, former Arizona Cardinal Tim Hasselbeck, currently have two children - a daughter Grace, born in 2005 and a son Taylor, born in 2007. The Hasselbecks apparently had no immediate plans of expanding their family and Elisabeth said that they were "thoroughly happy with the surprise of it."
Electionitis?
During the presidential inauguration, Hasselbeck complained of feeling sick to her stomach and worn out. She believed that all the excitement leading up to the inauguration and the inauguration itself had taken its toll on her, calling it "Electionitis." As it turns out, she was nauseous and exhausted for another reason…she was two months pregnant.
The newest Hasselbeck family member is due to make his or her entrance sometime in August of 2009.
Elisabeth and Tim
Some may not know this, but Tim and Elisabeth did not meet after she competed on Survivor: Australian Outback or even after she appeared on The View. Tim and Elisabeth were actually college sweethearts before she made her conservative mark in television and before he began playing in the NFL.
Conservative Controversies on The View
Whether you agree with her viewpoints or not, there is no question that Hasselbeck isn't afraid of speaking her opinion. Here are just a few of her opinions she's expressed:
- The Morning After Pill – Hasselbeck had words with the other ladies regarding the so-called "Morning After Pill," stating that it should be banned completely and not be available to women at all, not even those who are victims of incest or rape.
- The war in the Middle East – Everyone by now knows of her and Rosie O'Donnell's on air catfight regarding the war. She's for the war and Rosie is against.
- The Clinton proposal – Hillary Clinton once proposed that each child born in the States should receive a $5,000 savings bond. Hasselbeck agreed, stating that it would lead to fewer abortions as the women would have the babies in order to "keep" the money.
