Ever since High School Musical debuted, young girls have been asking the question, does Zac Efron have a girlfriend?

Efron is indeed a cutie, with his clear blue eyes and infectious smile. It's no wonder he has so many interested female fans!

Zac Efron is dating his High School Musical co-star Vanessa Hudgens. The pair met during auditions for the movie and were actually paired together during tryouts to see if they had any on-screen chemistry.

As it turns out, their chemistry was perfect on screen,and translated into their real lives as well. The couple began dating in 2006, although they didn't publicly admit it until the following year. Since then they have been very vocal about their relationship and are quick to dispel rumors that pop up from time to time in the tabloids.

There have been many rumors circulating since Efron and Hudgens have gone public with their relationship. Most of them center around Efron possibly being interested in other women, including Nikki Blonsky, his co-star from the movie Hairspray.

Even when rumors ask us, "does Zac Efron have a girlfriend," the fact is that Efron and Hudgens are still a couple. They recently moved in together. There are whispers that there may be an engagement in the near future, although neither one of them have confirmed this.

At about the same time as the relationship was being revealed, Vanessa Hudgens found herself embroiled in a photo scandal. Pictures she had taken of herself, both nude and in lingerie, began showing up on celebrity gossip sites. Vanessa quickly stated that these photos were only intended to be seen by Efron. The scandal went away almost as quickly as it started and hasn't seemed to have done any harm to the young couple.

Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens have worked together on the three High School Musical movies, in the lead roles of Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez, respectively. The movie titles are:

He has a number of upcoming roles lined up, including a remake of the 1980s movie Footloose. Though recent rumors claim that he might be backing out of the starring role originally played by Kevin Bacon.

Vanessa Hudgens was born in 1988, in California. She began participating in local theatre productions at the age of eight. Her rise to fame is similar to that of her boyfriend, Zac Efron, in that she started out with a few small movie and television roles before hitting the big time with High School Musical. She is also a recording artist with two solo albums under her belt so far.

The answer to this question is a resounding yes! Efron and Hudgens are photographed often, at awards shows, events and even while out on the town together. They always appear to be very happy together, and friends have stated that they are very much in love.
